As the second half of the spring term gets fully under way the children are continuing their journey around the countries of the world!
Our parents have been amazing in supporting us in this topic and we can not thank them enough for their enthusiasm and commitment to the school.
This week it was the turn of Greece and Cyprus. Two parents teamed up together and the children were treated to music, stories and foods! I am sure after this topic has ended that the children will have so much knowledge … especially in the areas of food… which seems to be their favourite!!

The children have also embraced the preparation for the parent/pupil event on the 12th March and have had fantastic fun making and creating as well as building their knowledge of each other’s backgrounds and families. I hope that you will join us on the 12th in the evening to enjoy samples of their achievements! This event is being held on our Muswell Avenue site and we hope that you will enjoy the children’s work as much as they and we have enjoyed doing it!

World Book Day happened on the 5th March and the children came to school in an array of different costumes connected with their favourite book character! Lots of sharing books and story reading happened and the older children in Montessori had a lovely opportunity to demonstrate their reading skills to the younger children! The all day Montessori children also attended an assembly with the Reception children on Tuesday this week to introduce World Book Day and what we were planning to do! Oh I’d like to have been a very hungry caterpillar with all that yummy food!!!
