The start of the spring term has been busy and productive. The children has been busily re discovering their skills in baking on Monday making cheese straws and experimenting with different toppings! We had poppy seeds, caraway seeds and grated cheese !

The children enhanced their rolling, grating and mixing skills as well as developing their pincer grip, hand strength and eye hand coordination. A large mess and loads of fun was had by all! Not to mention lots of tasting the products after!

In culture the children who stay all day had a slug, worm and snail experience! This was to support their culture development in science as we explored the living and nonliving elements of the world we live in. The children were captured by the lesson and able to identify living and nonliving from around their room as a supplement to the lesson - a debate was had to if a bottle of liquid is living .. it moves but is it alive???
