What a start to being Head of School! As you know, we are currently awaiting our inspection next Tuesday and Wednesday, so it’s been a bit of a baptism of fire! However, having worked with the team and alongside Lisa Isbell for the past two terms, I have developed relationships with staff, gained a good understanding of Montessori practice and have begun to get to know children and families from different areas across the school.

I can’t reiterate enough how much the team have pulled together this week to make sure that we are presenting the very best of what we have to offer and have helped me to seamlessly transition into my role. The atmosphere has been excellent around the school and despite working some pretty long hours this week, our staff are still smiling!

I’m not sure if ‘looking forward’ to the inspection is the right phrase, but I certainly can say that I am looking forward to sharing with the inspectors what we do here in Nursery, Infant Community and Reception and to the term ahead with the setting going from strength to strength.
