Nursery Explore Outdoor Learning and Life Cycles

Posted on June 05 2015

As the weather is getting better and the days warmer, we have been enjoying the new outdoor learning area, exploring and playing with new activities. The children have been busy playing with bricks, wooden blocks, diggers and wheelbarrows making an exciting construction site to watch. Some of them have been watering plants, walking on stilts, using hula hoops and playing with balls.

The outdoor learning has been shaped to expand on the children's indoor leaning. We have also been talking about the life cycle of the butterflies and have shown the children the tiny caterpillars! Everyday there will be an opportunity for them to see the caterpillars growing bigger and bigger and through all the stages until the release in the garden of the butterflies! How exciting!
