Infant Community.

The Infant Community children have been enjoying seeing their caterpillars turn into a chrysalis, and waiting for them to become butterflies. There has been much excitement this week as the first few butterflies started to emerge. Most of the children were lucky enough to have a turn holding the butterflies before they flew off and explored our garden. Alongside the butterflies  they have also been looking at musical instruments as their topic over the last few weeks.

They have been learning to name and recognise different instruments, bells, triangle, drum, maracas, xylophone, castanets, piano and lots of others. As a group they have been taking turns in trying out these different instruments, which has resulted in a very noisy classroom with lots of banging of drums and shaking of bells.

They have been colouring in pictures of instruments and sticking coloured paper onto maracas. As well as listening to different types of music from nursery rhymes to classical.
