Infant Community

Spring seems to have finally arrived, with the daffodils blooming and the occasional day of blue skies and sunshine. The Infant Community have been colouring spring pictures, and making a collage of a daffodil for our Spring display. Sticking the leaves, stalk and flower onto card by copying an example. They have all been closely watching the planter in the garden, that they planted with bulbs in October grow. From the shoots poking through the soil, to developing buds, and this week the buds opening to produce beautiful double headed miniature daffodils.

The children have making use of the nice weather in the garden, and have been developing their gross motor skills. As well as making use of all our ride on and push along toys, balls and hoops, they have all been learning to balance while using the stepping stones. They are learning to line up and wait for their turn, much harder to master than you think! and mastering stepping onto to different height and size stones.

Some of them have also been learning how to walk along the balancing beam, and then to bend their knees and jump off.
