Infant Community

Posted on September 20 2016

The new Infant Community  children have all been settling in really well over the last two weeks. They have been getting to know their teachers and friends, as well as learning their names, while joining in with the 'Welcome song'.

They have all been learning the routine of the morning, and how to play together in the garden. Luckily, the weather has been kind to us, and they have had fun in the sandpit, water play, and experimenting with trying out all of the ride on equipment.

Each child has done some work for the display boards, sticking coloured bits of paper, sequins and glitter to their initial, and drawing, eyes, nose and a mouth onto a face. These activities help the children with their creative development, and exposes them to a new media. It also helps with their social and emotional experiences, by following instructions, waiting for their turn and working with an adult.
