Infant Community

Posted on October 02 2015

The first few weeks of the term seem to have flown by and all of our Infant Community children have quickly settled in. They are now beginning to form relationships and interact with each other. They know each other's names as well as the teachers’ names.

We have been encouraging them to play in a group together, sharing with each other i.e. playing with the Brio train track and Duplo. They have all learnt to sit in a group on the mat for singing time and are all eager to choose a song to sing, the favourite at the moment being 'Humpty Dumpty'. They have enjoyed listening to stories in a group, 'Brown bear, brown bear' and 'Five little ducks', and sit altogether at the tables for snack time and lunch.  They are all learning the class and garden rules well and some of the children seem to know when each activity is due to happen, like garden play.
