The Infant Community Learns About Fruit

Since half term the Infant Community has been covering the topic 'fruit'. We have been recognising and naming different fruits, and have even been trying some of them. We have tasted, mango, pineapple and kiwi - the most popular being 'mango' by a long run!

We have been developing our fine motor skills by learning to peel and cut bananas and other fruits.

Luckily as we have had a spell of good weather we have been able to enjoy these new fruits outside in the garden, having a picnic!

In addition, we are currently watching our caterpillars developing into butterflies at the moment.  Once they have come out of their chrysalis we will be feeding fruit to them as well.  They especially like oranges and bananas!
